Lock your Word document into a shareable PDF

Word files look different on every device — fonts substitute, margins shift, tables overflow, and recipients can still edit your text. Converting .docx to PDF fixes the layout so every reader sees exactly what you see, on any device or printer, and no one can change the contents by accident.

Why convert Word to PDF

  • Resumes and cover letters — recruiters expect PDF; keeps fonts and spacing intact
  • Contracts and legal drafts — freezes the version being circulated
  • Reports, theses, assignments — ensures page numbers and tables render identically
  • Invoices and letters — universally openable, no “Can you resend as PDF?” replies
  • Form submissions — most government and corporate portals reject .docx but accept PDF

How conversion works here

The tool reads the .docx XML structure in-browser, renders paragraphs, lists, tables, and inline images with a print-oriented CSS layout, and emits a PDF. No Microsoft servers, no account required, nothing uploaded.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose your .docx file.
  2. Click Convert to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support .doc (older format)?

Only .docx. For older .doc files, open in Word, LibreOffice, or Google Docs and Save As .docx first.

Will images and tables transfer?

Most do. Simple tables render cleanly; inline images are preserved at original resolution. Highly complex layouts (multi-column, advanced styles) may render simplified.

What about tracked changes and comments?

Tracked changes render in their accepted state. Comments are not included in the PDF — accept or reject them in Word first if you want them applied.

Will custom fonts embed?

If the .docx embeds the fonts, they survive. If it only references them, the PDF falls back to system defaults — use common fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times) for safest results.

Is the document private?

Yes — everything runs in your browser. The .docx is never uploaded or stored.
