HDFC Credit Card Statement Password
HDFC provides two password formats. The primary one is first 4 letters of your name (UPPERCASE) + DDMM of your date of birth. For Rajesh born 18 May: RAJE0518.
If that fails, try the alternate: first 4 letters of name (UPPERCASE) + last 4 digits of the card number: RAJE3456.
ICICI Credit Card Statement Password
DDMM of date of birth + last 4 digits of card number. For DOB 10 April with card ending 5678: 10045678.
Note: ICICI credit cards use a pure numeric password (no name portion), unlike HDFC and Axis which use a name prefix.
SBI Card Statement Password
SBI Cards (managed by SBI Cards and Payment Services) use DDMMYYYY of DOB + last 4 digits of card. For DOB 18 May 1990 and card ending 4321: 180519904321.
If DDMMYYYY fails, try DDMMYY (6-digit year): 18059043421 — some older SBI Card statements used this.
Axis Bank Credit Card Statement Password
Same format as HDFC Format 1: first 4 letters of name (UPPERCASE) + DDMM of DOB. For Anita born 10 May: ANIT0510.
Why Credit Card Statements Are Password-Protected
Credit card statements contain your full card number (usually partially masked), billing address, credit limit, and all transactions including merchant names and amounts. This is valuable information for fraudsters, so issuers encrypt the statement PDFs before emailing them to cardholders.
Troubleshooting — Password Not Working
- HDFC: Try both formats (Name+DOB and Name+Card). The format may differ between co-branded and standard HDFC cards.
- ICICI: DDMM only (4 digits), not the full date with year.
- SBI Card: Try DDMMYY (6 digits) if DDMMYYYY (8 digits) fails.
- Name shorter than 4 letters: Add the first letter of surname to reach 4 characters.
- Check card number carefully: The last 4 digits shown in the tool must match the card number, not any reference or authorization number.

Frequently asked questions
What is the HDFC credit card statement PDF password?
Format 1: First 4 letters of name (uppercase) + DDMM of DOB (e.g. RAJE0518). Format 2: First 4 letters of name + last 4 digits of card (e.g. RAJE3456). Try Format 1 first.
What is the ICICI credit card statement password?
DDMM of date of birth + last 4 digits of card number. Example: DOB 10 April, card ending 5678 → 10045678.
What is the SBI Card statement PDF password?
DDMMYYYY of DOB + last 4 digits of card. Example: DOB 18 May 1990, card ending 4321 → 180519904321. Try DDMMYY if this fails.
Is the credit card statement password the same as my PIN?
No. The PDF password is completely separate from your card PIN or CVV. It is derived from your personal details (name, DOB, card number) as configured by the card issuer.
Can I unlock statements from closed credit cards?
Yes. The PDF password is based on your personal details at the time the statement was generated, not on the card's current status. A closed card's historical statements can be unlocked with the same format.
What if my card issuer is not listed?
Try DOB as DDMMYYYY as a first attempt — many smaller banks use this default. If it fails, check the bank's website or contact their credit card helpline.
