ICICI Bank Statement PDF Password Format

ICICI Bank uses different password formats depending on your account type — savings, current/company, or credit card. The table below is your quick reference. Pick your row, then use the tool above to auto-calculate and apply the password.

⚠ #1 mistake: ICICI uses lowercase, not UPPERCASE

Unlike HDFC (which uses uppercase), ICICI savings and current account statements use lowercase letters in the password. ROHA1004 will always fail. roha1004is correct. The tool converts your input automatically — but if you’re typing manually into a PDF reader, use lowercase.

Savings — default formatFirst 4 letters of account holder’s name + DDMM of DOBlowercaseroha1004
Savings — alternate format12-digit savings account numbernumeric123456789012

ICICI Savings Account Statement — Name + DOB in Detail

The standard password for individual savings account statements combines your name and date of birth: first 4 letters of your name in lowercase + DDMM of your date of birth.

Working through an example: Rohan Gupta born on 10 April has the password roha1004. Here, rohais the first four letters of “Rohan” in lowercase, and 1004 is 10 April (day 10, month 04). The year is not included.

Edge cases for the name portion

  • Name shorter than 4 letters: Append first letter of surname — “Ali Shah” → alis
  • Name with spaces: Use only the first word — “Sai Ram” → sair
  • Name with initials (e.g. “S. Kumar”): Use the first non-initial word — kuma
  • Joint accounts: Use the primary account holder’s details, not the secondary holder’s

Alternate Format — 12-Digit Account Number

If the name + DOB format fails, try your 12-digit ICICI savings account number directly as the password. This alternate was the default format for accounts opened before 2015 and is still used on some branches. Your account number appears on your ICICI passbook, cheque leaf, and in iMobile Pay under Account Details. Enter all 12 digits without spaces or dashes.

✓ Which format to try first? If your account was opened after 2015, start with Name+DOB. If that fails, try the 12-digit account number. For accounts opened before 2015 or if you’re not sure which format is active, try the account number first.

ICICI Current Account and Company Statement

Current account statements issued to businesses and proprietorships use the company name: first 4 letters of the company’s registered name (lowercase) + DDMM of the date of incorporation or account opening. For a company named “TechStar Solutions” incorporated on 5 June, the password is tech0506. Use the company name exactly as it appears in the ICICI account records — not the trade name or abbreviation.

ICICI Credit Card Statement Password

The credit card statement format is entirely numeric and different from the savings format: DDMM of the primary card holder’s date of birth + last 4 digits of the credit card number. For a cardholder born on 10 April whose card ends in 5678, the password is 10045678.

Note that this format does not include the year of birth and does not use the card holder’s name. The card number refers to the primary card, not an add-on card.

How to Download Your ICICI Statement

Via iMobile Pay (recommended)

Open iMobile Pay → tap the account → Statements → Select period → Download PDF. The downloaded file will be password-protected. The statement is generated instantly and uses the Name+DOB format.

Via ICICI NetBanking

Log in at icicibank.com → My Accounts → Account Statement → set date range → Download PDF. Same password format applies as iMobile.

Via email subscription

ICICI sends monthly e-statements automatically. These PDFs use the same Name+DOB password as the portal downloads.

Common Use Cases for an Unlocked ICICI Statement

  • Loan applications: Housing finance companies and NBFCs require password-free statements for their digital underwriting systems
  • Visa applications: UK Visas, Schengen, and US B1/B2 visa portals require statement uploads that may reject encrypted PDFs
  • ITR and GST filing: Some CA-facing software requires unlocked statements for auto-parsing transaction data
  • Credit card bill analysis: Personal finance apps and budget trackers cannot read encrypted PDFs; unlock first to import transactions
  • BGV for employment: Background verification vendors for IT companies typically require 3–6 months of unlocked bank statements

Password Not Working — Troubleshooting Checklist

⚠ Try this checklist in order before contacting ICICI:
  • Step 1 — Confirm statement type: Account or credit card? They use completely different formats.
  • Step 2 — Check case: Savings/current must be lowercase. Credit card is numeric only.
  • Step 3 — Check DDMM format: 10 April = 1004 (no year, leading zero on month). 5 Jan = 0105.
  • Step 4 — Try account number: Switch the format selector in the tool to “Account Number” and enter your 12-digit account number.
  • Step 5 — Contact ICICI: Call 1800-1080 (toll-free) or visit a branch with your account details.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ICICI Bank savings account statement PDF password?

The default password is the first 4 letters of your name in lowercase + DDMM of your date of birth. Example: Rohan Gupta born 10 April → roha1004. Alternate: your 12-digit account number.

Does ICICI use uppercase or lowercase in the password?

Lowercase. This is the most common error. ICICI savings statements use lowercase for the name portion. 'ROHA1004' always fails; 'roha1004' works. The tool on this page handles the conversion automatically.

What is the ICICI credit card statement PDF password?

DDMM of the card holder's date of birth + last 4 digits of the credit card. Example: born 10 April, card ends in 5678 → password is 10045678. No year, no name.

My ICICI savings name+DOB password is not working. What next?

Try your 12-digit account number as the password — this is the alternate format for some accounts. Also confirm the name is all lowercase. If both fail, contact ICICI customer care at 1800-1080.

Does ICICI use DDMM or DDMMYYYY in the password?

For savings accounts (name+DOB format) and credit card statements, ICICI uses only DDMM — the day and month without the year. 10 April = 1004, not 10041990.

My name on ICICI account is only 3 letters. What do I use?

Add the first letter of your surname to reach 4 characters. For 'ALI KHAN', use 'alik'. For 'SUI CHEN', use 'suic'.

What is the ICICI current account statement password for a company?

First 4 letters of the registered company name in lowercase + DDMM of incorporation date. Example: TATA Consultancy opened 15 April → tata1504.

Can I use this tool on my phone?

Yes. The tool is fully mobile-compatible. On Android, Chrome works best. On iPhone, use Safari or Chrome. Tap the upload area to pick the file from your Files app or Downloads folder.

Is this tool safe for sensitive bank statements?

Yes — processing is entirely local. Your PDF file and all the details you enter are handled in your browser's JavaScript engine. Nothing is sent to any server. You can verify this with browser DevTools (F12 → Network tab).

Will the unlocked PDF have my transactions in text (copy-pasteable)?

The unlock process renders pages as high-quality images. Transactions are visually preserved but not in selectable text. For machine-readable statements, open the original locked PDF in your PDF reader using the password.
